|New Easter Egg Night Hunt is April 17 at Antioch Park|
Grab your grandchildren and head to Antioch Park for a new twist on an Easter egg hunt during a new special event being presented by the Johnson County Park & Recreation District in Antioch Park.
The event is called the Easter Egg Night Hunt. Using flashlights, participants ages nine and older will hunt for glow-in-the-dark eggs. A story will be told along the way. All participants must be accompanied by an adult.
To find this program in the JCPRD’s Activities catalog and online listings, browse first under 50 plus and then under special events. In the printed catalog and when using the website’s advanced search, look for the keywords “holiday event.”
This event will and will take place beginning at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, April 17 at Antioch Park, 6501 Antioch. Merriam. The cost for one two-hour event is $9 per child. To register, visit the District's website at www.jcprd.com or call (913) 826-2859.
This is one of two new Easter-related special events being presented by JCPRD this year. The other is the Easter Bunny Hide and Seek, which will take place on April 12 at Shawnee Mission Park. That event is family-oriented and has an April 4 registration deadline.
The JCPRD's Activities catalog, with information and a registration form, is available for pickup at all Johnson County Library branches.
