|Be a Good Bunny program for ages 4 & 5 kicks off Spring Time Series at Ernie Miller Nature Center|
The programs are called the Spring Time Series and are for ages four and five. These programs are meant as an opportunity for participants to enjoy nature on Saturday morning as spring is budding all around. Your child will have fun while learning about natural and cultural concepts from a park naturalist. To find this program in the JCPRD’s Activities catalog and online listings, browse first by age-based categories and then by topic-based subcategories. In the printed catalog and when using the website’s advanced search, look for the keyword “preschool.”
The programs can be taken separately or as a package. If taken separately, the cost for one 90-minute session is $14 per person for Johnson County residents or $15 for non residents. The package cost for three sessions is $37 for Johnson County residents or $41 for nonresidents. Because space is limited preregistration is required.
The first program in the Spring Time Series is called Be a Good Bunny and will take place on April 14 beginning at 9:30 a.m. Participants will see and pet a live bunny, eat like a rabbit with a tasty treat, hear tales of Peter Cottontale and Bunny Foo Foo and go on a hike and look for wild rabbits. Other programs in the Spring Time Series include a Peeking at Pond on April 28 and To Mother Nature.... With Love on May 12.
The JCPRD's Activities catalog, with information and a registration form, is available for pickup at all Johnson County Library branches. For more information or to register, call (913) 831-3359. To register online and for updated program listings, see the District's website at www.jcprd.com.
