|Senior Follies to present free fun-filled afternoon of entertainment for all at JCCC on March 11|
“The overall goal is to provide a venue for people 50 and up to perform and get up on stage and shine,” said JCPRD 50 Plus Manager Rhonda Pollard. “Once you’ve gone to see what it is, you’ll laugh, you’ll cry, and you’ll appreciate just how much the follies mean to the performers and their families. It’s one of those really great feel-good events."
“There are so many unbelievably talented people in our community and I want to show them off to the whole city,” added Mary Alice Henderson, who has served as the event’s director since it began. “It is empowering and I feel privileged to be a part of that.”
The entire family is invited to attend this fun-filled event, which typically lasts about two hours and involves 14 to 16 acts. For this event, JCPRD has teamed with JCCC's Brown and Gold Club for learning enthusiasts over age 55. The two-hour event is free for both audiences and participants, and no reservations are required. Perform a catalog search for the keywords "special event" to find this program in the JCPRD's Activities Catalog and online listings.
