|Two new Stretch & Tone classes offered for 50 Plus starting March 1|
The classes are called Sunrise Stretch and Tone and Noon Stretch and Tone and both have sessions beginning March 1. For either class, the cost for nine 45-minute sessions is $49 for Johnson County residents or $54 or nonresidents. Sunrise Stretch and Tone promises an energizing morning workout involving mix of low impact aerobics and strength training. These are meant to stretch and tone while providing an effective cardiovascular workout. This program, previously called Fit & Feisty, is offered at 7:15 a.m. Tuesday and Thursday at the Prairie Village Community Center, 7720 Mission Road, Prairie Village.
Noon Stretch and Tone is fast-paced program which will let participants get the most out of their lunch hour. Stretch, firm, and tone muscles while keeping your heart rate up and melting away pounds. This program, is offered at 12:15 p.m. Tuesday and Thursday at the Roeland Park Community Center, 4850 Rosewood, Roeland Park. Prairie Village.
While the JCPRD's 50 Plus programs are primarily for people who are age 50 or older, interested parties who have not yet reached that magic age may still be able to attend. Persons 18 and older who are interested in a 50 Plus class are invited to call the District's Registration Department at (913) 831-3359, and if space is available without forfeiting the place of a person over 50, their registration can be taken.
