New Intro to Acting class offered for youth ages 8-11

The class is called Intro to Acting and is for ages eight to 11. Participants will learn acting basics such as stage directions, theater terminology, memorization, and blocking. Students will also learn to create a believable character by using their voice and body. Perform a catalog search for the keyword "drama" to find these programs in the JCPRD's Activities Catalog and online listings.

Intro to Acting will take place beginning at 4 p.m. Thursday starting Dec. 12 at the New Century Fieldhouse, 551 New Century Parkway, near Gardner. The cost for six 60-minute sessions is $37 per person for Johnson County residents or $41 per person for nonresidents.
