|Lifeguard Training offered for ages 15 and older starting Dec. 27|
Lifeguard Training is for participants who are ages 15 and older by the last class. Participants will acquire knowledge and skills to prevent and respond to water emergencies. This class is required for most lifeguard jobs. Participants must be capable of demonstrating good skill performances of ALL swimmer level requirements before enrolling. CPR/AED and First Aid training is included in the class. Attendance at all four sessions is mandatory. This class may be partially taught by instructor candidates. This program is offered at 9 a.m. Tuesday through Friday beginning Dec. 27 at the Roeland Park Aquatic Center, 4843 Rosewood, Roeland Park. The cost for eight four-hour sessions is $168 for Johnson County residents or $185 for nonresidents.
