|Learn about vermiculture during new Worm Bin Workshop on Sept. 3|
This Worm Bin Workshop is for ages 18 and older as well as children who are accompanied by an adult. Vermiculture is a way of composting using earthworms to speed up the process. It is easily done inside the home as it takes only a small amount of room and creates no odor. Participants will make their own worm bin complete with worms to take home. Search for the keywords "go green" to find this program in the JCPRD's Activities Catalog and online listings.
The workshop will take place beginning at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 3, at the Nature Center. The cost for one 90-minute session is $25 for Johnson County residents or $28 for nonresidents. There is a maximum of three family members per worm bin.
The JCPRD's Activities catalog, with information and a registration form, is available for pickup at all Johnson County Library branches. For more information or to register, call (913) 831-3359. To register online and for updated program listings, go to the District’s website at www.jcprd.com
