|New Recycled Art classes offered for youth and adults beginning May 3|
Both classes will take place at the Roeland Park Community Center, 4850 Rosewood, Roeland Park, which currently has a display showing potential participants what they can expect. The cost for either program for three two-hour lessons is $41 per person for Johnson County residents or $45 per person for nonresidents. Adult Recycled Art is for 17 and older. This program promises creativity at its best as participants will recycle lots of old items into new works of art. Anything from old sweaters to pots and percolators can be used. This program will take place at 7 p.m. Tuesday beginning May 3.
Youth Recycled Art is for ages eight through 16 and will let participants recycle old toys and other items into new works of art. Anything and everything from a Slinky® to Legos®, to buttons off of a sweater can be used. This program will take place at 2 p.m. Saturday beginning May 7.
