|Two youth football programs begin in early May|
The cost for either program for eight 60-minute sessions is $125 per person for Johnson County residents or $138 for nonresidents. Both programs begin May 2 and will take place at 11301 W. 88th St, Overland Park. Search for the keyword "football" to find these programs in the JCPRD's Activities Catalog and online listings.
Football Fundamental Training is designed for players wanting to learn more about the game. Practice sessions will cover fundamentals of the game: tackling, blocking, route running, ball handling, coverage skills, and game-like situations. Focus will be placed on improving speed, agility, and overall conditioning. This program will take place beginning at 7 p.m. Monday and Wednesday starting May 2.
Lineman Training Camp is designed for offensive and defensive linemen looking to improve stances, footwork, blocking techniques, mental toughness, and overall conditioning. Practice sessions will include drill work, one-on-ones, and combos. This program will take place beginning at 6 p.m. Monday and Wednesday, also starting May 2.
