|Spring Fling Fun offers nature-related activities during spring break, March 14-18|
Each day during Spring Break week (March 14-18), nature center staff will present nature or history-oriented programs suitable for the entire family beginning at 10 a.m. and again at 2 p.m. Perform a catalog search for the keywords "nature and outdoors" to find these programs in the JCPRD's Activities Catalog and online listings.
On Monday hear myths and stories about owls and see live examples of these great birds. Live animals illustrate the webs of wildlife in the prairie, forest, and in the water on Tuesday. Wednesday's program will showcase birds of prey with the presentation of live owls and other raptors. On Thursday (St. Patrick's Day), wear some green and celebrate Celtic history with stories, music, and traditions. On Friday, discover reptiles up close and scaly with live native snakes.
Each program is approximately 45 minutes long. The cost is $2.50 per person paid on-site. Advance reservations are not required for this program.
