Lifeguard Instructor Training offered at RPAC beginning Feb. 11

Lifeguard Instructor training is for ages 17 or older by the first class session. Participants will learn skills required to teach lifeguard training, including first aid, CPR for the professional rescuer, AED essentials, oxygen administration, and preventing disease transmission. For information on prerequisite skills required to take this class, call the Aquatics Office at (913) 432-3905. Perform a catalog search for the keywords "water safety" to find this program in the JCPRD's Activities Catalog and online listings.

This program involves two four-hour sessions and four eight-hour sessions. The four-hour sessions take place beginning at 5 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 11 and 18, while the four-hour sessions take place beginning at 9 a.m. on Feb. 12 and 13, and Feb. 19 and 20. The cost for this class is $220 for Johnson County residents or $240 for nonresidents.
