Winter Fun Series for ages 4& 5 at continues on Jan. 8 at Ernie Miller Nature Center
POSTED: 12/15/2010

The Winter Fun Series is for ages four and five. These programs are meant as an opportunity for participants to enjoy nature during the chilly season. Your child will have fun while learning about natural and cultural concepts from a park naturalist. Perform a catalog search for the keyword "preschool " to find these programs in the District's catalog and online listings.

The Teddy Bear Picnic will take place on Jan. 8 beginning at 9:30 a.m. Young naturalists will learn about the life of real bears and what bears are doing at this time of year - hibernating! There will also be a bear dance, and a yummy snack. Because space is limited preregistration is required. The cost for one 90-minute session is $14 per person for Johnson County residents or $15 for nonresidents.

The final program in the Winter Funs series will be Dinosaurs are Dinomite on Feb. 12.

The JCPRD's Activities catalog, with information and a registration form, is available for pickup at all Johnson County Library branches. For more information or to register, call (913) 831-3359. To register online and for updated program listings, see the District's website at www.jcprd.com.
