|Two youth basketball clinics begin Jan. 7 & 9|
The Rookie Basketball Clinic is for boys and girls ages five through seven and will introduce participants to basic basketball skills including dribbling, passing, ball handling, pivots, and shooting. Drills are set in a non-competitive atmosphere meant to allow students to concentrate on learning the skills correctly. This program will take place starting at 6 p.m. on Fridays beginning Jan. 7. No class will be held on Jan. 21.
The Pro-Style Basketball Clinic is for boys and girls ages eight through 10 and is for players with at least two years of experience. Fundamentals will be covered, with a focus on dribbling, passing, defense, and shooting. Participants will improve on their own skills as well as learn life lessons that come with learning a sport. This program will take place starting at 5 p.m. on Sundays beginning Jan. 9.
The cost for either program for six 60-minute sessions is $90 per person for Johnson County residents or $99 for nonresidents. For more information, visit www.68insidesports.com.
