Four baseball camps offered in late December for ages 7-14

All four camps will take place at 68's Inside Sports Fitness Facility, 11301 W. 88th St., Overland Park. The cost for any of the camps for two two-hour sessions is $68 per person for Johnson County residents or $75 per person for nonresidents. Perform a catalog search for the keyword “sports ” to find these programs in the JCPRD’s Activities Catalog and online listings.

Baseball/ Softball Catchers Camp will focus on the catching position for baseball and softball players. Participants will learn blocking, throwing to bases, proper set-up, and more. This program will take place at noon Friday, Dec. 18.

Baseball Hitting Camp will focus on proper techniques to take your hitting to the next level. Topics to be covered include solid contact, hitting to all fields, bunting, grips, stance, and weight transfer. This program is offered on Monday, Dec. 20, with a session for ages seven through 10 beginning at 9 a.m. and a session for ages 11-14 beginning at noon.

Baseball Pitching Camp will focus on pick-offs, grips, how to use the entire body, and pitcher fielding practice as well. Proper techniques to take your hitting to the next level. Topics to be covered include solid contact, hitting to all fields, bunting, grips, stance, and weight transfer. This program is offered on Monday, Dec. 27, with a session for ages seven through 10 beginning at 9 a.m. and a session for ages 11-14 beginning at noon.

Baseball Holiday All Skills Camp promises a fun and educational time for all players and will cover pitching, hitting, fielding, base running, and catching. This program will take place at 10 a.m. on Friday Dec. 29, and Saturday, Dec. 30.
