JCPRD 50 Plus plans New Women's Follies at JCCC on Oct. 17
POSTED: 09/29/2010
The event is called the Women's Follies and will take place beginning at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 17. Like the annual Men's Follies, this event will take place at the Polsky Theater at the Carlson Center at Johnson County Community College, 12345 College Blvd., and will be free to participants and audience members alike.

"We know there's some very talented ladies in our community and we wanted to give them an opportunity to showcase their abilities," sais 50 Plus Special Events/ Travel Specialist Kari Baesel. "We also feel that with its late October scheduling, this will be the perfect complement to the Men's Follies in March."

Currently being sought are talented women who can wow the crowd with their singing, dancing, and comedy talents. Both groups and one-gal shows are welcome. There is no entry fee for participants, but preregistration is required. Call (913) 236-1269 to register your act. The entire family is invited to attend this fun-filled afternoon of great entertainment. The event is free, and no reservations are required.

The JCPRD's Activities catalog, with information and a registration form, is available for pickup at all Johnson County Library branches.
