|Weight Management program begins July 5 & 7|
This program is for ages 18 and older and is taught by Dr. Monica Pierson, a specialist in education. Lessons include how to stop "mindless munching," making exercise a permanent part of your life, and reframing your thinking related to weight loss and being healthy. This is not a medical weight loss program, but is taught by a medical doctor who will provide information on cutting edge weight loss techniques. Perform a catalog search for the keyword "wellness" to find this program in the JCPRD's Activities Catalog and online listings.
One program is offered at 5:45 p.m. Monday beginning July 5, while another is offered at 4:30 p.m. Wednesday beginning July 7 at the Weight Management Medical Center, 6700 W. 121 St., Suite 103, Overland Park. The cost for four 60-minute sessions is $88 for Johnson County residents or $97 per person for nonresidents. Because of the Independence Day Holiday, the first session of the Monday class will take place on Tuesday, July 6, and resume on Monday the following week.
