|Two new youth football programs begin in late March|
Football Skills Training is designed for skilled position players (running backs, wide receivers, linebackers, and defensive backs). Practice sessions will be broken into offensive and defensive segments. Offensive focuses include route running, ball handling, release techniques, blocking techniques, and defensive recognition. Defensive focuses include tackling, pursuit angles, pass rush techniques, gap assignments, coverage skills, and offensive recognition. Weight training is included in the program and strength training is optional.
Lineman Training Camp is designed for offensive and defensive linemen looking to improve stances, footwork, blocking techniques, mental toughness, and overall conditioning. Practice sessions will include drill work, 1-on-1s, and combos. Weight training is included in the program and strength training is optional.
Both programs will meet at p.m. Monday through Thursday and both offer two pricing options. One option involves 40 60-minute sessions at the cost of $600 per person for Johnson County residents or $660 for nonresidents. The other option involves 80 60-minute sessions at the cost of $1,000 per person for Johnson County residents or $1,100 for nonresidents.
