|New Mind & Body Coordination class offered for youth and adults beginning March 10|
class is called Mind & Body Coordination and is for ages 12 and older. The concept of mind and body coordination is a martial art concept that allows the artist to not be influenced by his opponent or outside distractions. Participants will deal with the mental side of the martial arts, including Zen sitting practice, seated breathing techniques, and mental relaxation theory. This class does not involve any punching, kicking, or falling. Perform a catalog search for the keywords "martial arts" to find this program in the JCPRD's Activities Catalog and online listings.
Class will meet at 7 p.m. Wednesday beginning March 10 at the Midland Ki Society, 9303 Johnson Drive, Merriam. The cost for eight 90-minute sessions is $50 for Johnson County residents or $55 for nonresidents.
