|Live auction of JCPRD surplus items set for June 13|
The farm is located at 7440 Ogg Road and can be reached either through the park’s main entrance at 7900 Renner Road, or by way of Midland Drive from the north.
Auctioneer Paul Pringleton will sell surplus property from throughout the park district including items from the recently-discontinued horse boarding operation at Oakridge, as well as lost and abandoned items collected by the District’s Park Police Department. Items for sale include: fencing, a horse watering tank, dock materials, a portable corral, a grain dryer, grain storage bins, a snowmobile, trailers, pedal boats, bicycles, and cameras.
Also to be sold is a metal building which is currently located at 18000 Midland Drive, Shawnee. To tour the metal building, contact Tomahawk Golf Course Superintendent Terry Concannon at (913) 631-9211.
For a complete list of items to be sold, go to http://jcprd.com/park_admin/bid_notices.cfm. Opportunities to view the sale items will be offered the day of the sale.
It should be noted that the District’s June 13 auction is separate from and in addition to the Tomahawk Dome Surplus Items Sale being conducted via sealed bids which are due on June 11. A complete list of items being sold through that event can also be found on the Bid Notices page of the JCPRD website.
