|Track and Field Clinic offered for youth beginning June 22|
The program is called Track and Field Clinic Practice & Meet and is for boys and girls who will be in grades one through eight in the fall. Participants will get instruction from area high school track coaches. The program will include group and individual instruction, skill and technique development, conditioning, and the opportunity to compete in intrasquad competition. The program is a five-day clinic which consists of practices on Monday through Thursday and a track meet on Friday. The track and field clinic will take place from June 22-26 at four locations: Blue Valley High School, 6001 W. 159th, Stilwell; Olathe East High School, 14545 W. 127th St., Olathe; Shawnee Mission Northwest High School, 12701 W. 67th, Shawnee; and Shawnee Mission West High School, 8800 W. 85th St., Overland Park. The program begins at 9 a.m. daily at all locations. The cost for four two-hour sessions is $65 per person for Johnson County residents or $72 for nonresidents.
