|March 6 is signup deadline for new Girls Lacrosse League|
Lacrosse is currently the fastest-growing team sport in the United States. This program is for girls in grades five through eight and will introduce participants to the fundamentals of LaCrosse, team play, and sportsmanship. Play is set to begin on Sunday, March 29 and will involve six games through mid-May and one practice per week, tentatively set on Fridays. Locations for games and practices have yet to be announced. Equipment needed includes: a girl's lacrosse stick, eye goggles, mouthpiece, and cleats or soccer shoes. Jerseys and skorts are included in the registration fee. The per-person cost for six 60-minute games is $110 for Johnson County Residents or $121 for nonresidents. Participants must specify their jersey size along with their registration.
