|New Winter Walkabout program offered on Jan. 22 at Antioch Park|
This program is called Winter Walkabout at Antioch Park and is being presented by the Childrens Services Department of the Johnson County Park and Recreation District. The program is for ages three and up with an adult. During this walk, participants will look for clues to help guess the name of a book they will read when the walk concludes at the park's fire ring. Along with the story, participants will enjoy toasting marshmallows and sipping hot cider. Search for the keyword "nature" to find this program in the JCPRD's Activities Catalog and online listings.
This one-session program will take place at Antioch Park, 6501 Antioch, Merriam, beginning at 1 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 22. The cost for one 60-minute session is $15 per person for Johnson County residents or $17 for nonresidents. Preregistration is required. A second offering of this program will take place on Feb. 19 and will have a different story and theme.
