|Ernie Miller Park offers amphitheater programs during July|
Bring the family to the Johnson County Park and Recreation District's Ernie Miller Park Amphitheater on Friday evenings during July for educational and entertaining programs. The programs begin at 7 p.m., last about an hour, and are designed for all ages. A charge of $2.50 per person helps cover the cost of the programs; children under two are free.
July presentations include:
July 11 Snakes Alive
Why is it that these creatures seem so terrifying? Could all the stories you have heard be about snakes be true? See Kansas snakes as we explore the facts and fallacies of these legless wonders of the animal world.
July 25 Wildlife Who's Who
The presentation will feature five live animals representing four of the major groups of vertebrate and one group of invertebrates. Children of all ages will enjoy discovering the importance and habits of each animal and its place in nature.
