The developed portion of the park includes a 26.5-acre lake featuring a swimming beach with a bathhouse and a marina, which are both open to the public for the first time this summer.

The Kill Creek Park Beach opened June 11 and is open weekends through Aug. 11. The Beach is open from noon to 6 p.m. Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. For cost for children 12 and under and senior adults 50 and above is $3 for Johnson County residents or $3.50 for nonresidents, while the cost for adults is $4 for Johnson County residents or $4.50 for nonresidents.

The Kill Creek Park Marina opened June 1 and also offers weekend hours through Aug. 11. The marina is open 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Friday, Saturday and Sunday and offers canoes, pedal boats, sailboards and a row boat. Please note that no fishing is allowed at Kill Creek Park this year in order to allow fish populations to become established.

Turn right and go to Homestead Lane. Take a left onto Homestead and the park entrance is on the right near the crest of the first hill.
