|Knights in Shining Armor program offered for youth on June 9|
Brave young ones seeking knighthood are called to the round table through a program being offered by the Johnson County Park and Recreation District called Knights in Shining Armor.
This program is for ages four through eight. Participants will make shining shields and hats. Following a knighting ceremony, participants will visit castles and search for dragons through storybook pages with storyteller Melva Hargett. Knights in Shining Armor is offered on June 9 and will take place beginning at 10:30 a.m. on the east side of Building A, Antioch Park, 6501 Antioch Road, Merriam. All supplies are included. The cost for one 60-minute session is $12 for Johnson County residents or $13 for nonresidents.
