|Stingrays Summer Swim Team for youth begins June 2|
Youth of all ability levels are invited to join a summer league swim team based at the Roeland Park Aquatic Center, 4843 Rosewood, Roeland Park.
The program is called the Stingrays Swim Team and is for ages five through 18. Swimmers ranging from novices to the highly-skilled and competitive-minded are invited to join. Entry-level swimmers must be able to swim 25 yards of freestyle. Beginners receive stroke instruction and work on fundamentals and conditioning in a low-pressure environment. All swimmers have the opportunity to compete in swim meets. This is a great chance to get involved in a lifetime sport.
The Stingrays meet at 9 a.m. Monday through Friday beginning June 2 at the Roeland Park Aquatic Center, 4843 Rosewood, Roeland Park. The cost for seven weeks of one -hour weekday practices is $70 for Johnson County residents or $77 for nonresidents. A second child from the same family can attend for $60 for Johnson County residents or $66 for nonresidents. Fees include league fees, a swim cap, and a T-shirt.
