|Have a Zip Line Experience at TimberRidge on Sept. 14|
Come experience the zip line at the TimberRidge Adventure Center through a new program for ages 12 and older being offered by the Johnson County Park & Recreation District.
Since TRAC opened in late 2002, the zip line has usually been available only as part of the overall teambuilding challenge course program. This new program, called the Zip Line Experience, makes this element of the course available in a two-hour program. Be sure to bring a water bottle and wear comfortable clothing appropriate for the weather and sturdy closed-toed shoes. To find this program in the JCPRD’s Activities catalog and online listings, browse first under adult and then under nature & outdoors. In the catalog and when using the website’s advanced search, look for the keywords “outdoor adventure.”
Participants must fill out a health and liability form to take part in this activity. Participants under 18 must also have a parent or guardian onsite with a signature on a waiver. Each session is limited to 12 participants.
This program will be offered at two different times on Saturday, Sept. 14. Both will take place at the TimberRidge Adventure Center, 12300 South Homestead Lane, Olathe, accessible via an entrance which is separate from and south of the main entrance to Kill Creek Park. One Zip Line Experience program will take place beginning at 10 a.m., while the other will start at 1 p.m. The cost for one two-hour program is $20 per person for Johnson County residents or $22 per person for nonresidents. Preregistration is required.
This program will be offered again at the same two times on Oct. 19.
