Beginning Fly Casting Class For Adults Begins Oct. 16

Experience the exciting sport of fly fishing through a program being offered by the Johnson County Park and Recreation District.

Beginning Fly Casting is for adults 18 and older. Participants will learn about equipment, how to read water, and fly fishing techniques. Fly rods and reels are provided. Search for the keyword "fishing" to find this program in the JCPRD's Activities Catalog and online listings.

This program will take place beginning at 6 p.m. Tuesday and Thursday starting Oct. 16 at Shawnee Mission Park's John Barkley Visitor Center, 7900 Renner Road, Shawnee. The cost for four two-hour sessions is $34 for Johnson County residents or $37 for nonresidents. Preregistration is required.
