Youth can turn a no-school day into a day of fun by attending a Mad Science® program for youth being offered on Oct, 12 by the Johnson County Park and Recreation District.
This program is for ages seven to 12 and is called Mad Science® Birds & Beasts. Participants will walk on the wild side to explore owls, birds, and all kinds of bugs. Mad Science® Birds & Beasts will take place from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 12, at the Roeland Park Community Center, 4850 Rosewood, Roeland Park. Children can be dropped off between 8:30 and 9 a.m. and must be picked up between 3:30 and 4 p.m. Participants should bring sack lunch and a drink. The cost for one six-and one-half hour session is $35 per person for Johnson County residents or $39 per person for nonresidents.
