|Family Canoe Lessons Offered on June 13 at Shawnee Mission Park|
Introduce your family to the fun sport of flatwater canoeing through a workshop being offered by the Johnson County Park and Recreation District.
Family Canoe Lessons are for ages 10 and up and are designed for beginners. Children up to age 16 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. The program will feature a combination of lecture and hands-on experience. Family canoe lessons are offered at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, June 13 at the Shawnee Mission Park boat ramp, 7900 Renner Road, Shawnee. The cost for one two and one-half hour session is $13 per person for Johnson County residents or $14 per person for nonresidents.
