JCPRD Naturalist Recognized as Distinguished Professional Interpreter for 2001

Johnson County Park and Recreation District Park Naturalist Molly Postlewait was recently recognized as the Distinguished Professional Interpreter for 2001. The award was given by the National Association For Interpretation (NAFI) Region 6 and was presented during the organization's annual conference, conducted in Baton Rouge, La., on March 26. The award, which is the highest honor given by NAFI at the regional level, recognizes Postlewait for her efforts on behalf of the NAFI, as well as for the District. Region 6 covers a six-state area including: Kansas, Missouri, Oklahoma, Texas, Arkansas and Louisiana. Postlewait's supervisor, Interpretive Manager Bill McGowan, was recognized in 2001 as Distinguished Professional Interpreter for 2000.
