Registration Policies:
Register Early!
Register at least one week prior to the starting date of class to ensure enrollment.
Classes are filled on a first-come, first-served basis. Fees are due at the time of enrollment.
Resident and Nonresident Fees
A ten percent discount is offered for Johnson County residents. This is reflected in our
program listings, with the nonresident price shown in parentheses. There are exceptions where the
price is the same, regardless of residency. The listings for those programs will display only one
price.
Confirmations Are Not Sent
To keep our fees low, the JCPRD does not send receipts or confirmations. Please keep a record of
the dates and times for classes in which you enroll. You will be notified if there is a problem
with your individual registration or if a class has been filled, canceled, or rescheduled.
Late Registrations
Registration is required prior to class attendance. Enrollment may be accepted after classes begin
if space is available; however, classes are not pro-rated.
Class Transfers
Class transfers may be made subject to class availability. You may request your transfer at least
one week prior to the starting date of the class. A $5 processing fee will be assessed for each
transfer requested after this timeframe. Some exceptions are necessary for certain programs and
classes. These are noted in the class descriptions.
Cancellations and Refunds
JCPRD has a proud tradition of providing programs and services of the highest quality. If you
request a refund less than one week prior to the starting date of a class, a $5 processing fee
will be assessed. Fund requests made after the class has begun will be pro-rated and the processing
fee will also apply. If JCPRD cancels, reschedules, or if the class has reached maximum enrollment,
you will receive a full refund. Some exceptions are necessary for certain programs and classes, and
these are non-refundable or may have their own refund policy. These are noted in the class
descriptions. Please allow 2 to 3 weeks for refunds.
Scholarship Program
Limited recreation scholarships (for Johnson County residents only) may
be available to offset some of the cost for classes and programs.
Some programs may not qualify for scholarship funds. Requests should be
made at least one week prior to registering. For information, please call
(913) 831-3355 x227.
