Johnson County Park and Recreation District's Nature and Outdoor programs at the Ernie Miller Nature Center and the TimberRidge Adventure Center, provide a wide variety of environmental and historical events for kids and adults alike. In addition to the nature and outdoor recreation atmosphere experience, our programs foster curiosity and an appreciation for nature, history and outdoor adventure.

JCPRD's programs include: preschool programs, summer camps, school field trips, sail boating, canoeing, kayaking, fishing, archery, wildlife presentations, horseback riding, hayrides, challenge course, birding trips, special events and much more.

Our Ernie Miller Nature Center serves as the hub for our environmental, historical, cultural and educational camps and programs. The facility also includes a gift shop, year-round interpretive programming and is staffed by park naturalists and police police. For additional information about the Ernie Miller Nature Center please visit our JCPRD.com Ernie Miller Nature Center web page.

Our other JCPRD nature and outdoor site is the TimberRidge Adventure Center. It is a great facility for family or corporate teambuilding and adventure programming. Our teambuilding opportunities include a low and high element challenge course with a challenging climbing tower suitable for climbers of all ages.
